“Who loves you like this” (Chi ti ama così) is an autobiographical novel in which the debt towards the past and the pain the past caused can’t be completely paid.

“When I was in internment camps and no one came to set me free, I was wondering: how could the world forget us?”: this is what Edith Bruck, a holocaust survivor, wrote in her book.

The book shows the Jews’ extermination, starting from their entrance to the camps to the life of the Jews in the first postwar period. All this is shown us from the point of view of a 12 year old Jewish girl, Edith Bruck, who finds herself living one of the most painful and sad periods of her existence, which she luckily survives.
